Full Lime Repoint, Cotswold Stone House

About This Project

Traditional Lime Mortar Specialists In Wiltshire

A full repoint of a Cotswold stone house. The old, failing joints were raked out by hand and the walls repointed in a lime mortar matched to the stone, giving a crisp, even finish across every elevation.

Cotswold limestone is soft and porous. Lime mortar is softer still, so it takes the weathering instead of the stone, and lets the walls dry out naturally after rain.
